Why Year 10 Matters
Year 10 is the year that sets everything up for the exam.
If your child has lost confidence in maths, or there are gaps that never quite got sorted - this is the year to fix that, before Year 11 pressure hits.
A Grade 4 or 5 isn't just a number. It's the difference between moving on to college, an apprenticeship, or the next step they're working towards - without maths holding them back.
About Me
I take Year 10 students who've lost all belief in their maths ability, and rebuild that confidence - so they walk into their Foundation GCSE exam able to secure that grade 4 or 5.
I'm Jamie, a former secondary school maths teacher, now specialising in Foundation-level GCSE support.

Once they experience success, enjoyment grows. Once enjoyment grows, so does belief. And that's what carries them forward.

How It Works
Clear explanations, broken-down topics, and a safe space to practise - building success, enjoyment, and belief. That's the philosophy behind every session:
● One key topic, focused on each week - no rushing ahead
● Live lessons via Zoom, weekday afternoons after school
● Resource sent before every session, so your child comes prepared
● Homework set after each lesson, with video answers to work through
● Session recordings available if they need to catch up or revisit
● A termly exam paper, marked and returned with a personalised study plan
● Termly progress meeting with you and your child
Investment
The first session is booked individually as a trial session at £30.
Following this, classes are paid for in 4-class blocks in advance (£120 per block).

Before joining, you and your child are invited to a short, no-pressure call with me - via Zoom or phone.
On the call:
● Your child completes a short 10-minute maths activity (Zoom only), so I can see where they're really at
● You can ask any questions you have
● We talk through their current confidence and whether the group is the right fit
No commitment. No payment. Just a chance to meet me and see if this is right for your child.
Questions Parents Often Ask
Will my child get distracted online, compared to in person?
It's a fair worry, and one I hear a lot. Because the groups are small, every student gets regular attention - I check in often, ask questions directly, and keep sessions interactive rather than just talking at a screen. The trial session is the easiest way to see this in action for yourself.
What if my child falls behind the rest of the group?
Groups are kept small and grouped by ability level, so your child isn't competing with students far ahead of them. Plus, every topic is broken down and built up slowly.
What if my child is shy or lacks confidence on camera?
That's exactly who these groups are built for. Students can participate by chat and microphone and I create a calm, low-pressure environment on purpose, so there's no fear of getting something "wrong" in front of others.
What if the group isn't the right fit for my child?
That's exactly what the discovery call is for. There's no obligation, and the first paid session is a standalone trial too - so you can see how your child gets on before committing to anything further.
What if my child misses a session?
Every session is recorded, so your child can catch up in their own time. Homework and video answers are also provided after each lesson.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No. The discovery call is free, the trial session is standalone, and after that, sessions are simply booked in blocks of 4 - there's no long-term contract.
